Dr C Narayan Reddy is a popular poet and writer from Telangana who has received Gnanpeet Award and many other awards. He hails from Telangana and was close to Chief Minister NTR Rama Rao then also with K Chandrasekhar Rao the Present CM of Telangana.
He wrote many hit songs for NTR the legendary hero and Politician. More than a poet Cinare is remembered and popular as Cine songwriter.
Cinare worked with NTR in many films. Narayana Reddy is popular for writing a romantic duet song for the role of Duryodhana character.
His full name is Singireddy Narayan Reddy and knows Urdu well very well. He was 86 when he died. He is survived by four daughters.
Popularly known as Cinare, the noted litterateur was born at Hanumajipet village of Rajanna Sircilla district which was part of Karimnagar district till recent times of Telangana on July 29, 1931.
Though he studied in Urdu medium school, Reddy mastered Telugu literature and joined Osmania University as a Telugu professor. He also served as vice-chancellor of the Telugu University.
Known for his excellent rhyming skills, Reddy wrote several books, including the composition of poems like Karpoora Vasantha Rayalu and Nagarjuna Saagaramu.
Reddy became more popular among the common people with his lyrics in Telugu films. He had penned more than 3,000 songs for various Telugu films, and all of them were big hits.
Former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao and several literary personalities remembered Narayana Reddy on his birth Anniversary.
