SHE teams worked extensively towards curbing eve teasing, various forms of harassment at public places and social media etc. and helped the victim to get immediate police support.During this year 6157 complaints were received, 521 FIRs were registered, 1206 Petty cases were registered, 13471 awareness programs were conducted and 13,42,592 people were reached. Further 1842 respondents were provided online counselling of which 1751 were Major and 90 were Minor respondents.
A Major Cyber awareness collaboration with Education Dept.,) The Cyber congress training programme is being taken up by the SHE Teams for creating Cyber awareness to the school going children in collaboration with the Education Department &NGO partners to enable selected children and students as Ambassadors on Cyber Safety to SHE Teams and Telangana State Police.
SHE Team officers have successfully conducted Cyberathon Grand Finale on 11.08.2022 at Hyderabad and all district police headquarters simultaneously.
As a part of Cyber Congress Project Phase-II, the Women Safety wing along with Education Department have identified Total Schools – 2381 i.e. Govt. Schools – 1603, BC Welfare Schools – 259, SC Welfare Schools – 237, ST Welfare Schools – 78, Minority Welfare Schools – 204 in which selected Students and Teachers will be trained on various aspects of Cyber Awareness in the year 2022-2023.
with a vision to ensure overall wellbeing (safety and security) of students in Education Institutions, a pilot was taken up to form ‘Safety Club’ in 20 institutions in the year 2021 and extended to 33 institutions in 33 districts in the year 2022,With the impact it created Government is considering proposal of DGP and Education Department mostly towards enacting an legislation to institutionalize safety in all schools,Colleges, Universities as a big step.
