India day celebrations at MCHRD

All India Services, Central Civil Services, and Military Engineer Services Officers, from across the country, who are attending their Foundation Courses at Dr MCR HRD Institute, presented a colourful India Day Celebrations on December 28th, 2022. The objective of the event was to showcase unique costumes, diverse dance forms, rich culture, mouth-watering cuisine, from diverse regions of the country, and thereby present the country’s “unity in diversity”.

The event was attended by Smt Anita Rajendra, IAS, Joint Director General & Secretary to Govt. of Telangana, Officers, Faculty, and Staff of the Institute, in large numbers.

Dressed in their unique traditional attires and jewellery of various States, the Officer Trainees converted the campus of the Institute into Mini-India and added to the glamour quotient of the event. The dazzling display of cultural diversity captured the hearts of one and all and also left them awestruck. The entire campus of the Institute, which displayed a carnival-like atmosphere, was enveloped in a festive mood.

The Officer Trainees took out a colourful procession from the Godavari Hostel to Admin Block. They enjoyed into the festive mood of the occasion and danced to the rhythmic beats of the drums and electrifying musical band. A number of spectators gave into the festive mood, matched step-for-step, and enthralled one and all.

On this occasion, the Officer Trainees presented a cultural program, which involved energetic dances from Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc. and melodious singing in various languages, thereby uplifted the mood of the audience and provided them a great foot tapping time. The Officer Trainees, who took part in the Cutural Program, received multiple rounds of applause.
