After Delhi election results the state Governments are giving top priority to Basthi clinics. Both the Telangana and the AP Governments are increasing the basthi Davakhans so that people will get the maximum benefit.
Most of the davakhanas in the bastis in Delhi have given best of the treatment for free and that yielded good results to Kejriwal who has become the CM for the third time.
Apart from the Telugu states, all other states have also started scaling up the basthi clinics. Giving good medical facilities to citizens is the responsibility of the Government, but the corporate hospitals are making a dent into these free clinics.
But if the respective Government can provide proper medical treatment free of cost the people will be happy. The scheme announced by the central government and the state governments in the name free health and insurance is not being implemented properly by the respective corporate hospitals in most of the states.
The Government must monitor the schemes and see to it that the corporate hospitals implement the Arogya Sri Scheme in full. The culture of looting lakhs of rupees for treatment must go.
Proper checking and monitoring of the Corporate hospitals and Government hospitals must go on in a big way on a regular basis to streamline the medical and health departments in the respective states.
