Khaidi the title was first with Chinrajeevi the megastar. It was a blockbuster movie which was an inspiration from the Hollywood movie Ram bo of Sylvester Stallone.
The story of Rambo was rehashed by the then-popular comedy writer Jandhyala and directed by Kodandarami Reddy. Now the same title was taken by Surya for his movie which again has good collections at the box office.
The same Khaidi is being remade in Hindi by Ajay Devagn. The Telugu Kahidi of Chiranjeevi ad Khaidi of Surya has no comparisons. They are two different.
The Hindi one is also being rehashed to suit Ajay and the Hindi audience it is reported. Some shooting would take place in Hyderabad at the Ramoji Film city it is reported.
It may be recalled that Salman Khan has got several hits from the Telugu remakes. Ajay also remade movies like Drusyma and Singahm which were also super duper hits in all the languages.
These days there is a lot of demand for the original scripts. The choice of remakes is also coming down these days as the movie is being released in 4 to 5 languages.
