Amitab Bachchan the big B is all set to become the brand Ambassador for Medaram Jathara to be held in the Mulugu forests of Telangana. earlier the Big B has been the brand ambassador for Gujarat Tourism on an honorary basis.
Now he will be lending his voice in the form a video on the Kumbh Mela of Telangana. It is going to be a plastic-free Jathara. The district collector and the Minister for Industries and IT K Taraka Rama Rao has ordered that the mela should be free of plastic and no one should use the plastic fro any of the purposes.
The forest department and the police together are making tight security arrangements for the event. VVIPs are expected to make a visit to the Jathara. Some Minister, Chief Secretary and the DGP have already made a visit to the place to oversee the arrangements.
The forest rangers have been deployed to see that there would be no hunting in the forest during the Jathara time. More than crore pilgrims are expected to come for the Medaram Jathara.
The Government is also planning to stop the animal sacrifices here during the Jathara. Liquor flow will also be restricted it is reported. The flow of illicit liquor will also be prevented by the excise department.
