CBI restarts investigation into Vivekas death

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has re-started its probe into the sensational murder case of former Kadapa MP YS Vivekananda Reddy. The CBI in fact took up the investigation four months after the Andhra High Court handed over the case to the agency.

But no report was given by the CBI in this regard. Fedup with the Police and CBI, the daughter of Vivekananda once again approached the CBI in Delhi and requested them to conclude the probe.

Now the CBI has taken up the case again.

YS Vivekananda Reddy, brother of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and uncle of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his Pulivendula residence on March 15, 2019.

The Andhra Pradesh government had constituted three SITs to investigate the murder. The SIT examined at least 1,300 witnesses and conducted a narco analysis on three suspects.

Three persons have also been arrested on the allegation of tampering with the evidence. YSRC MP Vijay Sai reddy first announced that Vivekananda died of a heart attack.

But it was found that Viveka was axed to death and then his body was washed and the evidence in the house was also cleaned.
