The Chief of the RTC workers Union JAC Ashwathama Reddy said that they would work with only UT that Udayma Telangana Batch and not the BT that is Bangaru Telangana Batch.
Aswathama Reddy said that he was aware that the Union was riding the tiger. But they want to protect the RTC and its assets. Saying that the Government has not invited for talks, he stated that the strike would continue despite all odds.
He was happy that the Political parties and other organisations were supporting the cause of the employees. He opined that the salary was a small issue when compared to other larger issues.
The fight will continue till the goal is achieved he stated. He said that the leaders who did not have any role in the Telangana agitation should not get involved with the strike and also the talks.
That is the BT batch he opined.
He said that the employees were having health issues as the workload was more in Telangana when compared to the times of United Andhra. On the other hand, the strike is continuing for the 13nth day.
The Government is struggling to run the services with the daily wage drivers and conductors. It is able to run the services on a partial basis only.
The commuters are still facing hardship and bearing the brunt of the RTC employees strike.
