As a spiritual effort to get rains, TTD is organising the Srinivasa Astottara Shatakundatmaka Maha Shanti Varuna Yagam from September 8-11 at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram under the supervision of one of the Chief Priests of Tirumala temple Sri Venugopal Dikshitulu.
As part of the festivities Punyahavachanam, Mritsangrahanam and Ankurarpanam will be performed at the yagashala on the evening of September 8 after Rutwikvaram rituals in the morning.
On September 9 Vedic rituals of Vastu Homa, Akalmasha Homa, Panchagavya Prashanam, Raksha Bandhanam and Gopuja will be observed.
On September 10, Aswa puja is performed in yagashala.
On the last day on September 11 the rituals of Gopuja, Purnahuti and Chakra Snanam will be performed.
The annual pavithrothsavams in Sri Siddeshwara Swamy Temple in Tallapaka of Annamaiah district will be observed between September 5 and 7.
On the first day Ankurarpanam and Pavita Puja will be performed followed by Pavitra Pratista on the second day while Pavitra Samarpana and Purnahuti will be conducted on the last day.
A three-day workshop will be held from September 4 to 6 at the Sri Venkateswara Traditional Temple Sculpture and Architecture Training Institute of TTD on Traditional Temple Sculptures and related topics with expert Sthapathis and Agama scholars of South India.
The students, alumni and other interested students who are undergoing training in temple construction and sculpture-making will be taught the techniques in this workshop and will be made aware of various technical aspects.
