US Consul General Mrs. Katherine B. Hadda & her spouse Mr. Michael Andrews ( IT Consultant ) visited the Pandavula Caves (Guttalu) at Thirmalagiri Village of Regonda (Mandal) of Jayasankar Bhupalpally district which fall in Jakaram Reserve Forest of Mulug division of Bhupalpally forest department. These Pandavula Caves or hills are said to be prehistoric and of medieval period of thousands of years, old Epical stories are there that Pandavas inhabited here during their exile in forests.Prehistoric Natural Colours painting on rock here are still intact which depict the history of Pandavas who are the protagonists of Mahabharatha.
M J Akbar, IFS Chief Conservator of Forests, Warangal Circle and Sri T. Ravi Kiran, IFS, District Forest Officer, Bhupalpally accompanied the couple and explained them adventures created here like Rock climbing, Rappelling and trekkings etc taken up as Part of Ecotourism concept.Mrs. Katherine B. Hadda & her husband Michael Andrews have expressed lot of happiness and exclaimed to see such wonderful caves of prehistoric time with incredible and permanent natural colour paintings at caves.They commended the efforts of the forest department in improving ecotourism here. They stressed the need of preservation of greenery & natural heritage monuments here for future generations by one & all.
