Union Minister Ananth Kumar died in a hospital this morning. He was 59. Ananth Kumar was suffering from cancer and has returned after undergoing treatment in an American Hospital recently.
His wife Tejaswini and his two daughters were by his side when he died in Bengaluru it is reported. Ananth also served as a Minister during Vajpayee Government. His body will be kept at National college Bengaluru for paying the last tributes.
The President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed their grief and tweeted that they were extremely saddened. They offered condolences to the family members of Ananth Kumar. Ananth Kumar took over as Minister for parliamentary affairs from Venkaiah Naidu has been doing well.
Karnataka CM Kumara Swamy Gowda also expressed his condolences and said that Ananth Kumar had done a lot contribution to the country as a politician and served the people well.
