Uncertainty is still continuing in Maharashtra over the CMs name and also the formation of the Government. Now there is talk that the Congress and NCP together might stake claim to form the Government and would ask Sena to support them.
There is a remote chance of this nature. The Congress seems to be pondering over this. But Sena is right in the saddle and they are thinking of the CM name now.
First, the name of Aditya was proposed, then Uddhav Thackeray’s name came up and the final name of Eknath Shinde a very popular leader in Maharashtra.
It is 18 days after the election that the process of formation of the Government is going on. The ultimate decision lies with the Congress party and the meeting is going on.
The three ways meetings are going on between the NCP, Congress and the Sena. But how long will this continue is the question. Congress got less number of seats and it is going to set the agenda for the new Government.
The Ball is in the court of the Congress. Both the Congress and NCP said that they got the mandate to sit in the Opposition. BJP is somewhat hopeful that Sena might come back into the fold of NDA.
It’s an unusual alliance, but Sena has no other option after drifting away from the BJP.
