The online system is introduced in the booking of Srivari Seva voluntary service with an aim to enhance transparency and to provide an opportunity for more devotees to render free service as volunteers to their fellow pilgrims, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
During the live phone-in program, Dial your EO held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO attended the calls of 35 pilgrim callers from across the country. When callers Smt Aparna, Sri Ramprasad from Hyderabad, Sri Janardhan Reddy from Nandyal, Smt Saroja from Kurnool said that online bookings in Srivari Seva, whenever the quota is released, are getting completed within two to three minutes and consider off-line system also.
The EO said, Online system has been introduced to enhance transparency in Srivari Seva. “Srivari Seva was commenced by TTD over two decades ago with a noble aim to render free services to pilgrims with fellow pilgrims who registered as volunteers.
But due to an increase in demand for Srivari Seva, some miscreants started collecting money from sevaks and booking them seva offline. To curb this practice even in a voluntary service area like Srivari Seva, the online system was introduced.
The EO also said, the online application in Srivari Seva is cent percent genuine and nobody can hack it and book sevaks illegally. He also said he will instruct the employees to behave with Srivari Sevaks with poise and dignity who come from far-off places to render services to pilgrims out of dedication and devotion.
The EO said, TTD has renovated 6000 cottages at Rs.120crore in the last four years and will soon take up the repairs of Sapthagiri also.
The EO said, the senior citizens shall also procure SSD tokens or SED tickets and they will be sent through bio-metric for darshan with the help of Srivari Sevaks on producing tickets or tokens and it is not possible to release offline quota for Senior citizens and Angapradakshina.
