TRS has won the Nagarjunasagar seat with a majority of around 18500 votes. The TRS leader Bhagat polled 87254 votes while the Congress candidate Jana Reddy got 68714 votes.
The BJP lost the deposit. The BJP polled around 7200 votes. There was a talk in the beginning that Jana Reddy the Congress leader would win the seat, but the Presence of the Chief Minister KCR and his two public meetings for Bhagat made all the difference.
Despite Corona wave the voters participated in large numbers in the voting. Nomula Bhagat said that he has won the election because of the policies of the Chief Minister KCR and the welfare state.
Bhagat thanked the people for electing him to the seat. The TRS leaders and cadres are celebrating the win of Bhagat in a big way. Crackers were burst at the Telangana Bhavan as soon as the election was declared in favour of the TRS.
Bhagat has got a better majority when compared to his father Narsimhaiah. The TRS monitored the election for every 50 members in the constituency.
KCR monitored the election on a daily basis.
