It looks like the IT companies may not start the work from Office till the end of this year. The surge in Corona cases in America has forced the companies to postpone the same to January 2022.
The IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao and the IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan has requested the companies to start the work from the office concept soon. But right now it is not happening.
The companies heads at the highest level have decided that the work from office must be considered from January next year.
Apple and Amazon companies have decided to start the work from office concept from January 2022. Apple CEO Tim Cook had said that employees would need to return to offices three days a week starting in early September. That date was then moved to at least October.
Now it is postponed to January. Some employees have pushed back against Apple’s hybrid model at the workplace.
Earlier, Facebook also delayed its return-to-office plans till early next year. Microsoft has also pushed its full office reopening date from September to “no earlier than October 4, 2021”.
Twitter has shut offices in US, and Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said the company will require employees to be vaccinated before returning to the office in the later part of the year.
