K Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana has suggested the film producers and also the Heroes that the show must go on. He has permitted them to open the theatres so that the movies can be screened.

The theatre owners are scouting as to how far this will become viable. The Government will allow only fifty percent of the seats to be occupied.

Heroes Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna have met the Chief Minister KCR yesterday at Pragathi Bhavan and explained him about the present state of affairs in Telangana.

KCR advised them to start the shootings and also the theatres, but with Covid rules and regulations. Some shootings have been started and the theatres owners are also ready and they might start the shows by this month end.

But how far the people would go to the theatres is a big question? Huge losses have been incurred in the industry across the country.

Films which are of no commercial value are going to the OTT platform. Allu Aravind is promoting his Aha platform with the talk shows of Samantha. Now the OTT platforms have to starve the feed if the theatres start the screening of films.

Apart from this KCR the Chief Minister has assured that an area of 2000 acres would be allocated for the cinema city on the outskirts of Hyderabad. KCR has advised the film people and also the officials to visit Bulgaria to see the film city, and give a blue print for the project in Telangana.
