Principal Secretary Municipal Administration and Chairman Lake Protection Committee Arvind Kumar today reviewed the progress of notification of the full tank levels of all the Lakes under the Jurisdiction of HMDA & GHMC. He instructed the officials to expedite the process.
He directed them to conduct special drive for completion of the notification. Of the Total 3132 lakes, 2947 are under the jurisdiction of HMDA while the remaining 185 are under the GHMC. Survey for 2688 lakes has been completed while 1838 lakes have been preliminarily notified and 224 lakes have been finally notified.
Officials informed that the survey of each lake, in consultation and confirmation of the technical issues with the concerned Irrigation and Revenue Officials are being taken up.
On Certification of Lake FTL maps by the Irrigation Department and Superimposition of Revenue Survey Numbers, Preliminary Notification will be issued by the HMDA duly placing the FTL maps with FTL Boundaries & Buffer Zones, for view of General Public to offer remarks/comments with in a month’s time.
