A meeting with senior nephrologists and urologists of leading government and private hospitals held at Raj Bhavan on 02.01.2020. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) prevalence in Telangana State was presented by Dr. Gangadhar, Senior professor in nephrology, NIMS, Dr. Sree Bhushan Raj, HoD, Nephrology NIMS gave a presentation on the unique “Hub and Spoke model dialysis” practiced in NIMS, Osmania and Gandhi Hospital. It was followed by brief interaction of participants, Senior Doctors.
Governor felicitated the Hub & Spoke model nephrologists of NIMS, Osmania and Gandhi hospitals with is unique to Telangana. She wished to take it across the Nation.
Telangana ‘Red Cross Mobile App’ recently was launched by President of India Kovind and was introduced by Sri K. Surendra Mohan, IAS, Secretary to Governor to the participants to facilitate its usage for their patients to meet Blood transfusion emergencies in future.
