Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday handed over a motorized tricycle to a fluorosis-affected girl.
The girl, Ramavath Suvarna, a native of Saibanda Thanda of Marriguda Mandal in Nalgonda, district got the attention of the Governor when she painted a portrait of Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
An NRI Jalagam Sudheer has posted the same tagging the Governor in Twitter. He also narrated the plight of the differently-abled girl.
Impressed by the painting skill of the girl, who despite her highly restricted hand movement came up with a good painting, the Governor invited her and her parents to the Raj Bhavan.
The Governor handed over the motorized tricycle, sponsored in memory of late IPS Officer Kashinath Goud by his family members coordinated by the Disabled Foundation headed by Dr. B. Vijaya Bhaskar Goud.
The Governor hosted the lunch to the girl’s family members at the Raj Bhavan and motivated the girl to pursue her painting passion and continue her studies.
The Governor assured necessary help to the girl to pursue her studies and painting.
Earlier, Nalgonda district collector too responded to the suggestion of the Governor and assured necessary help to Suvarna.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan appreciated the family members of late IPS Officer Kashinath Goud and Dr. Vijay Bhaskar Goud of Ravi Helios and Disabled Foundation for helping the child with the motorized tricycle. Dr. Suvarna, Ms. Rekha were among those who attended the event.
