Swearing in of protem speaker today

The senior leader in Assembly and MLA from MIM Mumtaz Ahmed Khan will be sworn in by Governor Narasimhan as protem speaker of the Assembly this evening.

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS chief has decided to give the post to the MIM . The MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi thanked the Chief Minister for offering the post to the MIM. The oath-taking ceremony will take place at 5 PM in the evening here at the Raj Bhavan.

The Protem Speaker will call the house for business at 11.30 on 17nth and announce the election of the speaker. on 18nth the members who will take oath under the protem speaker will elect the new speaker.

on 19nth Governor Narasimhan will address the members and the next day the members will thank the Governor. This time it is becoming difficult fo the CM to convince the members to become the speaker of the house.it is reported that Etela Rajendar has refused to be the speaker. The reason being that most of them are losing the elections after becoming the speaker. It is reported that senior MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is being drafted for the post of the speaker.

Earlier Padma Devednar was also under consideration, but there are chances that she might become a minister under the women’s quota.

On the other hand, there are a lot of speculations going on in the media about the new cabinet. Some of them say it will be on 18th. Other said that it will be in February. There are also reports that it could be after the parliament elections. Some say a small cabinet before the elections and expansion after the results. KCR the master strategist is playing the cards close to his chest.
