We do not know if the rankings are right or if they help the stars in reigning the supremacy. Some organisations conduct the surverys call them as opinion polls and then give rankings. They could be rigged and entire survey many not be true.
The stars in various languages who have done well at the box office and who are popular with the public did not get the ranks expected. When it comes to the rankings, Mahesh, Prabhas and Rana are the three Telugu actors who were among the list of 50 most desirable men while others have lost.
Dhanush is the only Tamil star in the list while the names of actors Surya, Vijay, Ajith have been missing. Naturally, this hasn’t gone down well with fans of the stars who expressed their dissent on social media.
Baahuabli one and two have been mega block busters and the hero darling Prabhas did not get the proper ranking.
Baahubali star Prabhas who rose to peak stardom has lost his rank from 13th to 22nd. The other Baahubali star Rana Daggubati too lost. Rana, who had held 11th rank in previous year, is now standing at 24th rank behind his buddy Prabhas.
But when it comes to Mahesh Babu the ranking is OK, becuase he did not have proper hits so far after Srimanthudu. The Brahmotsavam disaster brought him down the ladder of stardom.
Mahesh Babu is ranked at No.7 in the list. The actor was in 6th place in the previous year’s list. However, Mahesh is the only actor from Telugu and South to surface in the Top 10 list. Mahesh Babu has beaten the likes of Shahid Kapoor (10), Ranbir Kapoor (12), Dulquer Salmaan (14), John Abraham (16), MS Dhoni (18).
On the other hand Prince Mahesh Babu is the only Southern star in the top 10 of Times Most Desirable Men 2016. Considered as one of the coveted list, Mr World Rohit Khandelwal has been adjudged as the Most Desirable Man 2016 while Cricketer Virat Kohli is next only Rohit and standing at No.2.
Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who was at No.4 in 2015 list, has rung up the ladder by a point and stood at No.3. Last year’s hunk Ranveer Singh has been reduced to No. 4 in 2016’s list. Drooling dude Fawad Khan has been ranked at No.5.
One can say this is also a commercial activity built around film stars for publicity. Like the public opinion in political survey it may not be entirely right. The questions might come up according the needs which suits the respective parties.
