All India majlisIttehadul Muslimin (AIMIM) party President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today said that the Shiv Sena chief Uddav Thackerey was afraid of Prime Minister Modi and that is the reason he was not going against the BJP in power-sharing at Maharashtra.
What is this new fifty/fifty arrangement Owaisi questioned and ridiculed that it is a new biscuit in the market? It may be noted that the Sena and BJP have fought the polls with the arrangement of 50/50 power-sharing. That is two and a half years each.
The Congress and also the NCP have fought with the arrangement of power-sharing but the NCP is interested in sitting as the main opposition in the Assembly of Maharashtra.
There is a talk that the Sena is negotiating with the NCP in case they can form the Government leaving the BJP aside. Now Fadnavis the Chief Minister has said that they are not interested in the 50/50 arrangement but give some ministries to the Shiv Sena.
But the Sena is adamant and wants the chief Minsitgers post for two and a half years. Both BJP and Sena have got less number of seats in the Assembly when compared to 2014.
The Power tussle is going on between the two parties, while other parties are also looking at various options to come to power or bargain for the power. Owaisi opined that the musical chairs area going on and the MIM will not support the Sena or the BJP. If Fadnivs would become the CM or not, I do not know said Owaisi.
What is this 50/50, is it a new biscuit he asked. The NCP got 54 and the Congress got 44 seats respectively. The BJP got 105 seats. The Sena got 56 seats.
