After Srireddy revelations on the casting couch which took the Tollywood by storm in recent times, now Samantha Akkineni is encouraging women to come out in open and talk about the things under Me Too.
Samantha wanted the ladies to complain to the film chambers under Voice of women. But to what extent this would be helpful to the women has to be seen. Some big names might also come up in the complaints. Can the film chambers take action against them is the question?
Some women artists and extras have raised their voice with Srireddy against the casting couch, but nothing happened so far. No action has been initiated on the casting director of Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie.
Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav took it very casually. No one knows if the committee has submitted any report to the Government on the casting couch issue in Tollywood. Now one has to see how many women would open up and make a formal complaint to the Film Chambers in Hyderabad.
But in general, there is a feeling among the women folk that they are forced for Commitment as part of the casting couch to get a small role in the movies.
