It’s been a long wait but for Salman Khan fans, today is an extremely special day. The actor, who is regarded as one of Bollywood’s topmost superstars, is reuniting with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after over two decades.
Salman and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have previously worked together in some of Bollywood’s most memorable films including Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam among others and while Salman had appeared in a cameo in the 2007-released film, Saawariya, he returns as Bhansali’s protagonist after twenty years. The duo has now collaborated for a film titled, Inshallah.
Salman took to social media to share his excitement for this special journey. He tweeted

The fact that Bollywood’s current favorite, Alia Bhatt, will star in the film has also got them intrigued for Bhansali’s next. Alia, who was photographed at Bhansali’s office just last night, took to Twitter and shared her elation overcoming onboard. Going by her tweets, it’s a dream come true moment for Alia and the actor seems to have nothing but heaps of respect and admiration for Bhansali and his work.

Besides Inshallah, Salman will next star in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat alongside Katrina Kaif and Tabu in lead roles. The film is slated for an Eid release this year and the news of Inshallah has definitely doubled the excitement for Salman fans. While Alia, who was last seen in Gully Boy has a busy few months ahead of her – from Kalank to Brahmastra to Takht and RRR – the actor has quite a few films in the pipeline.
