An upcoming Telugu actress has filed a complaint at Patamata Police station in Vijayawada on 15th August against the director Chalapathi Rao and actor Srujan alleging that they attempted to rape her on 13th August in moving car and duo later blackmailed her against informing the police .
According to the FIR filed by the lady, both the director and actor said to her, they were going to Bhimavaram for scouting the locations and asked her to come with them on car.
Later both Chalapathi Rao and Srujan started to touch her inappropriately in the moving car and tried to rape her by pushing her on the backseat.
She added that she was lucky as the car collided with a lorry and she escaped from there. She suffered injuries in this accident.
The case has been registered under the Section 279 of the IPC, which deals with rash driving, for damaging the vehicle.
