Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief is busy making promises left and right for the next elections. He is unable to get power in any of the states in the recent times, but he is busy campaigning for the next polls.
When he met some MPs who were protesting for the special status in AP , he assured them that the Congress will give the status if they are voted to power.
Our stance has been very clear we are in support of Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. While we are for a special category of Andhra Pradesh and the first thing we will do when we come to power in 2019 is give the state Special Category Status to Andhra,” the Congress President said.
“I am confident that if we stand together, we will convince the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi that what is due to the people of Andhra Pradesh should be given to them at once,” he said.
The TRS leader KCR and MPs also have pledged support to the TDP in this context.
They have extended support to the TDP MPs in the parliament.
