A police complaint was filed against Thalapathy Vijay the hero for a sequence and song in his latest film Leo with Kanagaraj. The sequence depicts Vijay using drugs. These days even smoking cigarettes is also not allowed and you have to show a disclaimer.
A Chennai-based social activist had filed a police complaint against the film and Vijay under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for the same.
According to the latest reports, Vijay and the team have added a smoking disclaimer in Leo’s first song, which means there’s no room for further criticism.
Vijay’s second movie with Lokesh Kongaraj, Leo, is one of the most anticipated Tamil films. Set to release in October, Leo has Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sany in important roles.
After completing Leo’s last schedule, Vijay is expected to kickstart prep for the Venkat Prabhu film, tentatively called Thalapathy 68.
Vijay is also in the news for announcing that he would come into politics soon. We do not know if it was done for the sake of publicity.
People say that this police complaint could be for the sake of initial publicity also.
