The CM K Chandrasekhar Rao spoke to PM Moddi and also Union medical and health Minister Dr Harsh vardhan and briefed him about the measures taken by the state government for the curtailment of Covid.

He also made some valuable suggestions to the union minister on certain measures to be taken to contain the virus spread.

PM Modi liked the suggestions of Modi and said that he would implement them at the earliest.

The CM also suggested that the fast spreaders of the virus should be identified and they be administered the vaccine first. He said vaccine guidelines should be relaxed so that the cab drivers, auto drivers, conductors, boys supplying the LPG gas cylinders, and those workers who go to places to do their daily jobs should be brought under a special category and be vaccinated.

The centre should extend this facility to the states to help curtail the major spread of the virus. The Union minister has positively responded to the CM’s suggestions and assured that he would discuss the matter with the PM and would get back.

During the review, the CM inquired about the availability of Oxygen, beds, Remdesivir injections and other facilities. The Medical and health officials informed the CM that there is no shortage of the Oxygen supply and there is availability of the Remdesivir injections in the state. They said the other required medicines and drugs are available.

They said 7393 beds are available in the government hospitals and 2470 Oxygen beds and 600 ventilators beds are also available. Along with the required medicines, medical and health staff is also available at all times. However, the CM said Remdesivir injections should also be made available in the private hospitals too and wanted the officials to take the required measures.
