As part of an ongoing drive against habitual offenders who disturb public order, the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has invoked PD Act against two property offenders Mohammed Nasir @ Nasir and Samoon @ Mohd Samoon Khan as “Arms offenders”. The detenus Mohammed Nasir @ Nasir and Samoon @ Mohd Samoon Khan are native of Rajasthan state and notorious property offenders.
On 23.01.2023 they had robbed cash of Rs. 2,08,000/- from the employees of one wine shop at Uddammari Village, Shamirpet by firing at them with a country-made pistol and fled to their native state.
The victims escaped unhurt. The Shamirpet Police arrested the accused persons and lodged in jail. The detenue Mohammed Nasir @ Nasir had been involved in more than 45 property offenses in different Police limits of Telangana during 2019-2020.
With a view to preventing them from indulging in further criminal acts prejudicial to the maintenance of public order, Sri M. Stephen Raveendra I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has invoked PD Act against them and detained them in Central Prison, Cherlapalli, Medchal district.
