Two veterans Mumtaz Ahmed Khan and Ahmed Pasha Quadri of AIMIM who were old guards have been replaced by two new faces and both of them have happily paved the way for their replacements said the AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen(MIM) will contest nine seats in the upcoming Telangana State Legislative Assembly elections.
MIM will be contesting from Nampally, Malakpet, Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura, Bahadurpura, Charminar, and Karwan, seats that it had won in 2018, and also Rajendranagar and Jubilee Hills.
Asad stays in Shashtripuram located in Rajendranagar. Rajendranagar is having huge Muslim population and it is growing. The MIM contested earlier and lost to BRS.
Azharuddin is contesting from Jubileehills on Congress ticket. BRS has a sitting MLA in Jubilee Hills and it also has a good number of Muslims.
The split in Congress and MIM vote with Muslim candidates will help BRS to win.The MIM will win 7 seats out of the 9 easily. This will add to the tally of BRS.
There is a talk that BRS,MIM and BJP will join together in forming the Government in case it is needed to prove the majority.
