The Open Educational Resources will be launched in the gracious presence of Dr B. Janardhan Reddy, IAS, Secretary, School Education and T. Vijaya Kumar, IAS, Commissioner & Director of School Education.Prof. Padma Sarangapani, Professor and Chairperson, Centre for Education, Innovation &Action Research, TISS & Project Director, CLIx will also be present.
Connected Learning Initiative (CLIx),is a project seeded by Tata Trusts and led by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. CLIx offers a technology-enabled, scalable and sustainable model of open education for high school students and teachers in the form of digital resources for students in the subject areas of Mathematics, Sciences, Communicative English and Digital Literacy. In Telangana, CLIx is being implemented in 300 schools in 13 districts.
CLIx project is the recipient of the prestigious UNESCO’s 2017 King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the field of Education in March 2018 and recently the Open Collaboration Award for Excellence 2019 from the Open Education Consortium (OEC).
