Surprisingly the TRS party leaders have placed the demand that NTR should be conferred with ‘Bharat Ratna today at NTR Ghat.
Marking the birth centenary of NTR, TRS ministers and leaders paid rich tributes to the actor cum politician today.
TRS MP Nama Nageswara Rao said, “NTR deserves Bharat Ratna for his invaluable contribution towards the Telugu states. Our party would place this demand before the government of India in the next Parliament session.” MP Nama also added that former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao is also eligible to receive Bharat Ratna.
Minister Malla Reddy added that he is a fan of NTR. “Not just me, many of my colleagues have an association with NTR and TDP. As a mark of respect, we paid homage and NTR should be given the Bharat Ratna title,” said Malla Reddy.
However, the TRS ministers and leaders did not offer tributes to NTR on behalf of the state government. But the news is viral on web.
