There is a talk that the YSRC Chief Jaganmohan Reddy is trying to give Rajya Sabha membership to Chiranjeevi the megastar. The idea is to balance the Kapu community it is reported.

At the same time, it will be like a check to his brother Pawan Kalyan who is the chief of Janasena. There is also a talk that BJP is also looking at Chirnajeevi to balance the equations in the Telugu states.
BJP is known for using film glamour for the elections and then ignoring them.

Former Chief Minister and General Secretary of All India Congress Committee Oommen Chandy told the press that Chiranjeevi is not a part of the party and cited the reason that he is not attending the party events and programs.

This was clarified by Chandy in a press meet in Vijayawada during the birth centenary of former PM PV Narasimha Rao’s birth centenary.

Former Congressman Chiranjeevi kept his distance from the Congress party since the party suffered a big loss in the 2014 polls.

Chiranjeevi floated his Praja Rajyam Party in 2008 and contested the 2009 elections.

However, the party had managed to win 18 seats and later got merged into the Congress party. Chiranjeevi was elevated as a Rajya Sabha member and was given Tourism Ministry.

Later he said goodbye to politics. Now he is supporting Janasena his brother Pawan Kalyan’s party.
