While people in Tollywood are lashing out at each other in the name of caste for Nandi awards, Nagarjuna Akkineni is keeping cool like a cucumber. The jury said that the movies with reincarnation as the theme will not be included in the awards category. But someone questioned the Eega which was given awards earlier comes under the same category and now why not Manam?
Unlike many, Nagarjuna was ambivalent when Manam did not win Nandis. Rumour has it that even though fans are mightily upset at Manam not winning many awards, Nag laughed it off saying, “Cool! Let’s talk about something else.”
Sources close to him said Nag had a hunch that Manam would not be given awards as Balayya Babu is part of the jury.
Given his differences with Balayya, he anticipated the jury’s cold-shouldering of Manam.
So, he didn’t react at being ignored.
