History shows that majority of the political parties and leaders who went for early polls to avoid the anti-incumbency lost the elections. Kotla Vijaya Bhasker Reddy the Congress leader from Kurnool tried and lost the elections in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu in the name of gaining sympathy from the Alipiri Blast incident went for early polls and lost the election to Congress party. In this fashion, most of the early polls conducted by the political parties or forced upon on the public gave negative results. Except for one or two times.
When it comes to by-elections most of the time the ruling party or the sitting member’s party has won the election. Here it could be the sympathy factor.
Now KCR the CM of Telangana is also planning for the early polls, but he is very confident and the people are sailing with him. He has done a lot in the name of welfare schemes and he is all set to make a comeback. KCR, on the other hand, has been a challenger. He and his law makes have resigned several times and won the elections time and again.
He never bothered about losing the power. He took that calculated risk and came back to power again and again. Earlier there was this factor called anti incumbency nowhere in Telangana it is not seen as the TRS is doing whatever it could do for the welfare of the people of Telangana. It is a wise decision from KCR to go for the snap polls, but the majority of ministers, fear that it might boomerang. Even MLAs are not interested in the early poll decision.
But KCR told the lawmakers that he will take the responsibility of winning the polls and one need not bother about it. The family members of KCR are already on the election mode and they are travelling the length and breadth of the state. KCR, on the other hand, will spell out things for the future from the Pragathi Nivedana sabha. This will be more than that of an election meeting and his message will reach all the districts.
60 seats are enough for KCR to win the election and MIM support will add to his power.
