Prime Minister Narendra Modi giving an appointment to K Chandrasekhar Rao itself raised many eyebrows.
More than the meeting between the CM and PM political analysts say that it was political.
While Amit Shah the BJP chief is working on Sampark yatra, Modi is working key political players in the country. Chandrababu the TDP chief is in no mood to get back to the NDA fold, Modi has thought it fit to set KCR on the right track.
KCR was the main supporter for Modi in demonetisation and also GST, but now KCR is planning for anti-BJP and Congress front. Taking this as an opportunity KCR has given a wish list with 10 points the main being asking for the defence lands for Secretariat and also the expansion of the roads.
But there is every chance that there could be a broad understanding between Modi and KCR. The BJP is already over in Telangana. There is a broad impression that KCR was hand in glove with Modi from the beginning and his front will only help in dividing the votes of opposition.
In case the BJP does not get enough majority there is every opportunity that Pranab Mukherjee might be elevated as the consensus candidate for the post of Prime Minister. If KCR gets the defence lands and if his wish list is cleared, there is no problem for the BJP in the next elections.
