The Telangana State Police under the aegis and in compliance of the vision of the State Government with respect to Women Safety has flaged-off (17) “Mobile Rest Rooms and Toilets for Women Police Officers on Bandobust Duties” today, i.e., on 31st January, 2020 at the premises of the O/o The D.G.P., T.S., Saifabad, Hyd at 1700 Hours by Shri. Md. Mahmood Ali, Hon’ble Home Minister of Telangana State in presence of Shri. M. Mahender Reddy, IPS, D.G.P., T.S., Hyd and other senior officers of Telangana State.
The Telangana State Government has placed special emphasis on women’s safety & health; and in cognizance of the inconvenience and health issues faced by women police officers during bandobust duties, the government has sanctioned mobile restrooms and toilets for the women police officers on bandobust duties.
The (17) vehicles have been distributed to various district headquarters for deployment to Medaram Jatara, and eventually, the number will increase to (25) in due course.
