Viacom 18 has approached Mithali for making a biopic on her. Mithali agreed for the same and the casting is already in the process. When asked her choice of actor to play the role, Mithali opted for Priyanka Chopra. I am not a movie buff. But our personalities match to a great extent and it for the movie makers to decide she said.
The film on Mithali Raj is in the scripting stage and she has helped them a lot in researching her life and times. Now that Mahi Dhoni the Indian male captain’s life was depicted as a movie and it was a hit. Next is Dhoni 2 in the pipeline. With this as inspiration, the story of the female leader of the Indian female cricket team is also being made into a movie. The leading lady is yet to be decided.
