Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials concerned, that the prestigious ‘Rythu Bhima Scheme’ to be launched from 15th August, shall be implemented effectively.
The CM KCR described that the Rythu Bhima Scheme, is the largest insurance scheme in the world and gives confidence to the families of farmer.
CM said, that, whatever might be the reason, due to which a farmer whose life is insured, dies, his family shall be paid Rs. 5,00,000 towards insurance amount within 10 days after his death.
CM also made it clear that the responsibility in the process of reaching the insurance amount to the family lies with the Agriculture Extension Officer and Panchayat Secretary.
He said, that, these two should work in close cooperation and see that the eligible farmers family gets the cheque in time.
CM also said, that, the death certificate of the deceased farmer shall be given by the panchayath raj secretary within 48 hours on his death.
CM said, that, “we are launching the largest insurance scheme benefitting 28 lakh farmers with Rs 636 crore premium. Details of eligible farmers who are insured should be available in the computer of Agriculture Extension Officer.
