Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Minister for IT KT Rama Rao and himself were constantly monitoring the situation and taking all steps to contain the Coronavirus in the state of Telangana.

Despite suffering from mild Covid conditions the CM KCR has been monitoring the situation in the state and especially in Hyderabad from time to time.

The situation in rural areas is better than in the cities and towns.

The Telangana Government is also trying to avoid oxygen shortage, there was a possibility of the State facing a problem if the current situation continued.

Hyderabad is a cosmopolitan city, patients from different parts of the State as well as adjacent Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh come to the city for treatment. Hence, oxygen shortage can crop up if the current situation continues any further.

Right now the Oxygen is being provided only to patients who genuinely require it since it can’t be purchased immediately. The doctors are having apprehensions that the Oxygen stocks may run out quickly.

KTR is negotiating for Remdesivir injections. The Government is taking all possible measures to check black-marketing of injections and procured three lakh doses of Remdesiver.

KCR has also taken stringent steps not to give any scope for black marketing of injections and other medicines.

As the Central government was contemplating giving the vaccine to people above the age of 18 years from May. People of that age group would also be given the vaccine in the state.

Taking the long queue lines to take vaccines into consideration due to a shortfall of centres, the Government is vaccination centres in government schools also.
