K T Rama Rao said that we are developing the lung spaces in Hyderabad like anything. We are reducing the pollution to a larger extent he said. He was launching this Botanical garden today as part of Haritha Haram. He said that all the lake bodies will be protected and the groundwater will be developed he said.
He said that the present botanical park was converted from a dumping yard into a green unit he minded. Earlier it was started a year ago he said. In one year time, the 12 acres have been developed into a garden and there is another land where the huge botanical garden will be developed he assured.
It is our park we have to keep it clean and green the minister said. Please keep some dustbins he suggested. Rainwater harvesting pits should also be developed he suggested. An STP will be set up for the sake of water to plants he said. The walkers must form an association and maintain the park he said.
He assured that as promised Hyderabad will develop into an international city and the climate will be protected at any cost with the cooperation of the people he stated. All must come forward in setting up the rainwater pits, Haritha Haram apart from the clean and green program he explained.
