Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao, today laid the foundation stone for phase-II of the IT Hub here in Khammam on Friday. He stated that numerous world-class companies have been coming forward to set up their bases in the State.
KTR after the stone laying ceremony revealed that besides establishing IT Hubs in tier-II cities to create job opportunities for local youth, measures to provide broadband internet services to every household in Telangana would be taken in the days to come.
“There were many apprehensions about investment flow into Telangana when the State was created he said. Many had misgivings whether the investments made in the State at the time of Telangana’s formation would survive, let alone the flow of new investments KTR observed.
But the administrative acumen of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, a stable government, well-defined policies and committed officers made the State witness amazing growth in the IT sector,” the Minister explained.
Efforts were on to embrace new technological developments in e-health, e-commerce for the expansion of the IT sector in the State for the benefit of future generations, Rama Rao said.
