CP, Sanjjanar, seeks the help of hospitals to save lives

Today a meeting was conducted by Commissioner Of Police, Cyberabad Shri. VC Sajjanar, IPS., involving SCSC officials, officials of certain major hospitals and Cyberabad Traffic Police Officers.

The senior level officials from the AIG, KIMS, SLG, Continental, Sunshine, Medicover Hospitals participated in the meeting.

Every year in Cyberabad almost 800 to 850 people dies in road accidents and many of them can be saved with immediate availability of emergency trauma care. In this perspective Cyberabad Police in co-ordination with Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) have initiated a new project named as ‘SAVIOR’ *(Saving Accident Victims On Road) initiative with an aim of bringing together all stakeholders in saving lives in road accidents.

As part of this programme already a training program has been started with the support of SCSC and CIHS (Care Institute of Health Sciences) where in more than 300 Police personnel and common citizens who resided along the highways are trained in 11 batches for basic first aid to the accidental victims.

In today’s meeting all the senior officials from the major hospitals in Cyberabad were urged to become part of this noble initiative to save lives. All the hospitals have expressed their willingness to support this initiative on humanitarian grounds and also that they would work together with Cyberabad Police and SCSC in saving the lives of road accident victims.

CP Cyberabad, appreciated the efforts of SCSC in mobilizing resources and in bringing together all the stakeholders to successfully implement this humanitarian initiative.
