To tide away from the crisis of RTC transport the state Government has decided that they would extend the Dasara Holidays by 2 or three days. The city commuters who are held up in villages due to transport Problem will get some breathing time and by that time the Government and the Transport department will make alternative means of Transport.
So far the Government has been making adjustments with private transport and also using the school buses for public transport. If the schools get reopned then the school buses will for withdrawn for the children.
To keep the school buses for another 2 days and making alternative arrangements, the government thought it fit to extend the Dasara holidays. This will give some time for the commuters and also the government to make alternative arrangements.
There is scope that KCR would appeal to the striking employees to come for talks. But the JAC of the employees to planning to call for a state bandh against the Government. The strike has already reached the 5th day. Private operators are making a fast buck.
