Kavitha the former MP from Nizamabad and the daughter of K Chandrasekhar Rao the CM is all set to become the MLC. She will be contesting for the local body MLC seat from Nizamabad.
The election will be just a formality for Kavitha. She will be filing the nomination today. The local MLC was disqualified and the election has been announced.
Kavitha was elected as an MP from 2014 and then she lost in 2019 to BJP Aravind the son of D Srinivas the former Congress chief who has joined the TRS and an MP.
There was a talk that Kavitha would be the RS member. On the other hand, the CM KCR is also looking for a candidate in the Governors quota for the MLC post.
CMs secretary Deshapathi Srinivas could be the MLC from the Governors quota. At the same time, the CM would be disappointing a lot of people who were promised with an MLC post from time to time.
