Filing a police complaint, social activist Dinesh Kallahalli alleged that Ramesh Jarkiholi sexually harassed a job aspirant and threatened her and her family of dire consequences.
After allegations of sexual harassment surfaced against Ramesh Jarkiholi and triggered a massive controversy, the opposition demanded immediate resignation by Ramesh Jarkiholi and also that an FIR be filed against him.
Even after his resignation, some BJP leaders said that the matter was under investigations and that we must not make any premature comments over the issue.
