Karan Johar the Hindi filmmaker and producer has mellowed down a bit and is producing the films with small directors and making medium budget movies. He has tasted the success from the South and that too from Tollywood. He distributed the Baahubali one and two and made tonnes of money. He thanked Rajamouli for the same.
In the same fashion, he wanted to take Sahoo from Prabhas keeping his image at the national level in view. But Sahoo of UV production did not come down on the price, and they sold it to others for about Rs 120 crore it is reported. The Price quoted by KJO was much less.
Now after that Johar talked to Rajamouli who is making the multi-starrer with NTR and Ram Charan. Ram Charan is popular in Hindi with Zanjeer. So it is easy to market the film Karan thought. Now he is in collaboration with Rajamouli and wants to distribute RRR. Both Rajamouli and Karan became friends with Baahubali and they earned good money.
Now it is the same with RRR. In fact, Raghavendra Rao’s niece works with Karan in the directorial department and they are close.
RRR is being made into a multilingual movie and the budget being planned is around Rs 200 crore it is reported. DVV Danayya is the producer. But all the work will be taken care of by Rajamouli and his team.
With Karan and Dharma Productions, it is easy to market to the movie and there should be no problem with the profits. Rajamouli is damn sure that he is going to make a hit again.
