Jagan is deadly against Chandrababu Naidu, but he has all respect for NT Rama Rao the Legend and also Balakrishna the Akhanda star. He has named one of the districts in Vijayawada after the late NTR.
It is not Machilipatnam parliamentary constituency, as predicted earlier, but Vijayawada parliamentary constituency, which has now been named after Telugu Desam Party founder and former chief minister, legendary actor N T Rama Rao.
NTR’s native village Nimmakuru falls in Machilipatnam parliamentary constituency, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government decided against changing it.
Jagan retained the Krishna district with Machilipatnam as the district headquarters and named the Vijayawada district after NTR.
The change in the name of Vijayawada will create problems because it is sentimentally attached to the mythological character Arjuna, also known as Vijaya, who did penance on Indrakeeladri hills.
