The reverse tendering decision taken by the AP Government for Polavaram has boomeranged. Most of the authorities and the Ministers at the centre have made it clear to the chief Minister Jagan that it was not the right decision.
Chief Minister Jagan who was in Delhi for the Home Ministers meeting also met the Minister for water resources but could not convince him on the process of reverse tendering for Polavaram.
The Union Minister openly told Jagan that it would further escalate the cost of the project and would delay the project further. Jagan avoided the media after he met the Union Ministers. Jagan also briefed Amit Shah the Minister for Home and appraised him about the reverse tendering.
But the way Vijay sai Reddy told the media that they had the blessings of the Union Ministers and Prime Ministers for taking the decisions did not go well with the centre. Sujana Chowdhary clarified that the decisions taken by the AP government had got nothing to to do with the centre and that they were taken unilaterally by the Jagan Government.
The BJP leaders also visited Amravathi where they assured the farmers that the capital will not be shifted. Finally, it looks as if Jagan is in a hurry and want to put Chandrababu in a fix. But it has proved for Jagan to be a costly mistake.
