The tenure of the state BJP President Dr Laxman will come to an by this December end it is reported. But who will be the next President is the real question.
There are not more than a dozen leaders in the BJP who could be elected or nominated as the next BJP President and they do not have experience.
The Central leadership is of the opinion that they must appoint a president keeping the next election in mind. They must also see the population ratio and the membership equation in the BJP party.
Except for a few most of them are juniors in the Telangana party and it is not easy to take on a mighty party like TRS in the coming elections. The elections in Telangana are due in 2023.
This will be a do or die situation for the BJP. With the prevailing situation, there is also a talk that Laxman could be retained as the President for Telanagana for the next two years.
Ramchandra Rao (MLC), NVSS Prabhakar are brahmins and they may not get the chance. Aruna has joined the BJP recently, Jithendar Reddy rejoined the party recently so they also do not have a chance.
Sudhakar Reddy joined from the Congress. Chintala Ramachandra Reddy is from Khairatabad and has no hold on all the party members. So it could be Laxman again.
